World AIDS Day: Positive TVPS service users from Reading share their stories to encourage HIV testing
Through funding received from Reading Borough Council, we have launched a campaign in which five Reading residents share their HIV diagnosis stories, to show the public that HIV can happen to anyone. Reading has the highest rate of late diagnosis of HIV in the South East 78% of those diagnosed with HIV are diagnosed late, compared to a regional average of 47.9% so we want to highlight the importance of HIV testing.

Award Winners
We were over the moon when it was announced that TVPS had been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for the Public Partnership Award - NHS category, at the annual One Slough Awards! Sarah, Chantelle and Zoe attended this fantastic event, showcasing so much great work happening in the communities of Slough. Proud is an understatement!
Going Wild
We got all green fingered recently with fantastic partnership working with wildlife Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust. As part of their “nextdoor nature” programme, where they are delivering projects across the UK with communities that have historically been excluded from decisions about or unable to access nature in their local area. They helped us rewild our overgrown garden and have made it a haven for service users, helping improve their mental health. Have a watch to find out what it’s all about!
